Advertising placement costs of bank and insurance increase obviously. As far as media selection is concerned, enterprises providing bank and insurance service prefer to portal websites, while fund investment companies invest in both portal and financial websites. Advertising placements of car insurance overshadows that of other insurance services.
The up-to-date data of iAdTracker show that in May 2011 the growth of advertising placement costs of bank and insurance drives the development of financial service industry. The advertising placement costs of bank stop plummeting and increase from the 22 million Yuan to almost 30 million Yuan, with a month-on-month growth rate of 34.4%. After four months of adjustment, the advertising placement costs of insurance service increase by 35.4%, reaching 21.396 million Yuan. Moreover, since February the advertising placement costs of fund investment companies have been rising steadily. In May, the advertising placement costs come close to 20 million Yuan, with an increase of 8 million Yuan compared with February.

As far as media selection is concerned, enterprises providing bank service and insurance service prefer to portal websites, while fund investment companies invest in both portal and financial websites. As for portal websites, advertising placement costs of bank are the most, followed by insurance service and fund investment. Their advertising placement cost is twenty three million one hundred forty six thousand Yuan, eighteen million six hundred fifty one thousand Yuan and ten million seven hundred ninety four Yuan respectively. Concerning financial websites, fund investment companies are ahead of banks and insurance companies, with advertising placement costs of eight million eight hundred eighty eight thousand Yuan. Meanwhile, compared with news websites, it is better to place advertisements on financial websites.

Advertising placements of car insurance overshadows that of other insurance services. In May, advertising placement costs of car insurance amount to thirteen million one hundred seventy six thousand Yuan, which basically equal to that of last month, accounting for 61.7% of insurance service advertising costs. Advertising placement costs of non-car insurance increase dramatically, with a sequential growth rate of 180%, amounting to 8.17 million Yuan.

Based on the above data, iResearch claims that the growth of advertising placement costs of bank and insurance drives the development of financial service industry. Due to its widespread audiences, bank and insurance companies place many advertisements on portal websites. While, because the clients of fund investment companies are very specific, those companies prefer to place advertisements on financial websites. Meanwhile, advertising placements of car insurance take a crucial role in insurance services. The coming changes of financial service industry’s advertisements placed on small industries, media selection and product campaigns are worth waiting.
